Linda began a career within the Scottish Waste and Resources industry in 1993 and has established herself as a mentor, peer and colleague with a wealth of technical knowledge across a range of waste and resource related topics. An initial grounding in Waste Operations has provided a practical technical knowledge that is welcomed as a Consultant. Her experience includes delivering strategic and operational waste and resource projects for clients including Scottish Government, Zero Waste Scotland, many Local Authorities and Waste Contractors across the UK.
She is currently Project Director to Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire and Moray Council’s Joint EfW Project and has acted as Lead Technical Adviser on a number of large scale Waste contract procurements including Edinburgh & Midlothian Council’s Zero Waste Project, Glasgow City, Clyde Valley and Dundee & Angus.
She has recently directed a number of strategic projects including a Circular Economy Sector Study for the Energy Sector (oil and gas, renewables generation and electricity transmission), advised on adopting Circular Economy Business Models, considered the feasibility of using decommissioned steel from the oil and gas industry in structural engineering projects and provided Resource Efficiency advice concerned with adopting reverse logistics models and compliance with Waste (Scotland) Regulations.
As a Centre Councillor and the former Chair of CIWM’s Scottish Centre Council, Linda has an extensive industry network and is privileged to have a regular audience with private sector operators, Scottish Government, SEPA, CoSLA & ZWS providing the most up to date knowledge of waste thinking and activities in Scotland today.
